Founded in 1930, BCAS brings together manufacturers, distributors and end users of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied equipment, providing a central point of expertise, guidance and collaboration across the sector.
Our role is to support the industry by providing authoritative, independent advice on legislation, technical standards, safety, environmental responsibility and best practice.

Training, Development & Apprenticeships
Supporting skills development across the industry, including the promotion and development of apprenticeships to help build the next generation of compressed air professionals.

Offering impartial expertise to ensure systems are efficient, compliant and fit for purpose.

We actively contribute to

- BSI (British Standards Institution)
- ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
- Pneurop (European compressed air association)
- Euris (European industry representation)
- EAMA (UK industry representation)
- MAKE UK (UK manufacturing representation)
- Trade Association Forum (TAF) – UK Trade Association representation
Through this involvement, BCAS helps shape policy, influence standards and represent the interests of the UK compressed air sector both nationally and internationally.
