Online Payments
To attend our events or purchase from the shop, an online registration is required. This in turn will create a user profile for the contact and may create a profile for the attendee. It is sometimes required that a purchase or registration is immediately followed by an online card payment. The payment is processed via Secure Trading’s secure online payment terminal. Depending on the purchase, we might be able to provide a refund due to cancellations, please check the event’s page for more details.

The cancellation must be received in writing at events@bcas.org.uk
On receipt of the cancellation, the above chart states the amount the Guest remains liable for at that point in time.
Cancellation due to an extenuating circumstance may be reviewed by the Executive Director who in turn will recommend the appropriate refund and action to the Board of Directors for approval Extenuating circumstances may be considered at the total discretion of the BCAS board
We will make every attempt to sell your place at the event to obtain a replacement booking dependant on the impact on the event a refund may be considered by the board of Directors. An Administration Fee of £100 will be charged and will be deducted from the refund sum
Training
- Fees must be paid in full to BCAS before training can commence
- Membership rates will only apply once the annual membership subscription has been paid and BCAS reserves the right to charge the non-members rate should membership not proceed or renew.
- Customers of BCAS members special rates will only apply once the annual membership subscription has been paid and BCAS reserves the right to charge the non-members rate should membership not proceed or renew.
- All events/training booked are allocated to the individual and are not transferable either to a new employee or to a new employer.
- All training courses have an availability duration and must be completed within that time frame
- Diploma in compressed air management 24 months
- Blended learning events 6 months
- E-learning courses 2 months
- NVQ qualifications 18 months
- Cancellation fees due
- Once a course has been allocated refunds cannot be processed.
- Delegate no show course fee remains payable no refund can be processed
- Examination
- Examinations/ test are due to be sat within the course validity period.
- An examination date can only be deferred once free of charge
- Request for deferment must be made 30 days before the examination date
- DipCAM examination second deferment will be charged at £35.00 for the examination and must be taken within the course validity period
- Delegate no show for a booked DipCAM examination will be charged at £150.00
- Course validity and study period All courses have a course validity period once that is lapsed a new course will need to be purchased to allow the delegate to continue.
- Resit of examinations can only be taken within the course validity period – outside of this time frame BCAS reserve the right to charge a licencing fee for use of the LMS – although permission to continue with the training may be refused once the course validity period has lapsed
CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP
- Any Member may retire upon giving at least six months written notice to the Society provided that after such retirement the number of Members is not less than one.
- Any Member shall retire if that Member ceases to be an Eligible Company. In case of doubt as to whether or not a Member has ceased to be an Eligible Company the Executive Committee’s view shall be final and the Executive Committee shall not be bound to give any reason for its decision.
- Any Member which resigns or ceases to be an Eligible Company, or which is removed as a Member shall remain liable to pay the whole of any annual subscription for the year during which Membership is terminated and any other amounts accruing due to the Society prior to the date upon which Membership is terminated.
- Any Member who shall disregard any provision of these Articles or any Bye-Law or who shall be guilty of conduct which, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, is inimical to the objects or interests of the Society shall be liable to expulsion from the Society on the recommendation of a resolution of the Executive Committee passed by not less than two-thirds in number of the members of the Executive Committee present and voting. Any such Member shall at the same time as such resolution of the Executive Committee is passed automatically cease to be a Member and any Director or Senior Manager nominated by that Member shall also cease to be a member of any committee of which that person is a member.
- Upon cessation of membership, a former Member shall be required to return to the
Association any documentation and shall be required to delete all references to membership from such stationery and advertising material as may be in its possession.
