Andy Jones

Andy started his working life as a Technical Apprentice at GKN in Smethwick. Having completed his apprenticeship, he spent many years working in a variety of roles for a specialist bolt-tightening and onsite machining company operating in the engineering, mining and oil and gas industries around the world.

He joined Mattei Compressors Ltd. in 2007 where, along with its subsidiary Winton Engineering, he is now Managing Director and is responsible for the strategic evolution and growth of both businesses. Since joining Mattei, Andy has been an active member of BCAS, firstly as part of the membership and since 2011 as a board director. He was president of BCAS from 2014 -2016 and now sits on the Pneurop Council (the European Association of manufacturers of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied equipment, represented by their national associations) as one of BCAS’ two representatives.
